And it’s the most wonderful time of year!
Lots of fun things to share lately, but I’ll start with my dear college roomie’s visit to NYC. One of my favorite things we did was celebrate Ashley’s arrival Friday night with dinner and dessert at Serendipity 3, around the corner from a beautifully lit up Bloomingdale’s! I love the movie, Serendipity, which gets its namesake from this cute little restaurant. If you want to make a trip to Serendipity, definitely make a reservation ahead of time. The wait time without one is well over an hour. Fortunately, we got to skip the line and get our table for two right away! Serendipity is well-known for its Frrrozen Hot Chocolate drinks, but the food was delicious, too! I had an amazing turkey, apple, brie sandwich and Ashley had breakfast for dinner — French toast with fruit! We shared a peanut butter Frrrozen Hot Chocolate for dessert. So yummy!
Another fantastic Christmas must-do in New York is ice skating in Bryant Park! It’s the only skating rink that’s free (although you do have to pay for skate rentals). Nestled among holiday pop-up shops and food vendors, Ashley and I loved our Sunday morning spent in Bryant Park. We even indulged in amazing crepes and cheddar caramel popcorn after working up an appetite while skating ;-).
